Check wp-config.php file permissions
Since FloLaunch works directly with database access and modification, it is required for the wp-config.php file to be writable and readable.
If your wp-config.php file will have incorrect file permissions, FloLaunch will be unable to create the test mode. If this happens, a message will appear notifying you that you need to update the file permissions for this file.
Follow these steps:
- Connect to your server via (S)FTP.
- Find the wp-config.php file. It is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation. In rare cases, wp-config.php can be located even one level above your WordPress root folder.
- Depending on your FTP client, you should be able to right-click (or ctrl+click) on a file name and select an option like “Get Info”, or “File permissions..”, or “File attributes”from the context menu. Clicking that option should display some file info, including permissions.
- FloLaunch requires a standard setup according to WordPress rules for files/folders permission. Make sure file permissions are set to 640 or 644:
