Check wp-config.php file permissions

Since FloLaunch works directly with database access and modification, it is required for the wp-config.php file to be writable and readable.

If your wp-config.php file will have incorrect file permissions, FloLaunch will be unable to create the test mode. If this happens, a message will appear notifying you that you need to update the file permissions for this file.

Follow these steps:

  1. Connect to your server via (S)FTP.
  2. Find the wp-config.php file. It is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation. In rare cases, wp-config.php can be located even one level above your WordPress root folder.
  3. Depending on your FTP client, you should be able to right-click (or ctrl+click) on a file name and select an option like  “Get Info”, or “File permissions..”, or “File attributes”from the context menu. Clicking that option should display some file info, including permissions.
  4. FloLaunch requires a standard setup according to WordPress rules for files/folders permissionMake sure file permissions are set to 640 or 644:
