What is FTP and File Manager and how to use
What is FTP and How to use it?
FTP is a way of moving information from the computer you’re working on to the server where a website is hosted. If you want to install WordPress on a web server, for example, you’re going to need FTP to copy the files over.
It’s also occasionally used as a way to share files. One person may upload a file to an FTP server, then share a link to it with another person. This sort of usage has become less common in the age of easy-to-use cloud services, but some people prefer to have their files hosted on a home server and use FTP to enable that.
Using FTP, you can upload, download, delete, rename, move and copy files on a server. This can be done using FileZilla Software and FTP login credentials which can be found in the Site Hosting Dashboard or Requested from the Hosting Support team.
You can check this link for more information how to use FileZilla software.
What is File Manager and How to use it?
File Manager is a quick and easy way to navigate through your files. This can be accessed from the Hosting dashboard (cPanel) and it provides options such as uploading, creating, removing, editing, copying, moving, compressing, or extracting your files.
You can check your current site hosting documentation manual on how to find and use File Manager option.
